Mission:
It is the intention of the Histology Support Lab to provide resources, technical expertise and referral information to investigators developing and using histology protocols in their own laboratories.

Access:
The Histology Support Lab is open to all members of the University of Florida. It is advisable to make an appointment, especially when initially seeking assistance.

Services Available:

Provide procedures for special stains, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry and in situ hybridization. Review and trouble shoot existing protocols. Assist with slide imaging. Fixation advice and protocols. Instruction in cryotechniques, microtomy, H&E staining, preparation of material for laser micro dissection, and imunohistochemistry. Provide information and techniques relevant to proper tissue harvest and preparation. Referral to facilities able to perform basic histology services.
